The well-known tale of Aladdin takes place in Agrabah, City of Enchantment and includes the songs “A Whole New World” and “A Friend Like Me”. Hang on to your carpet as Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Jafar and a whole city of characters take you on an exciting ride.

Our holiday show is the hilarious presentation of A Christmas Carol by the ladies of the Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society.

The large musical this season is the beloved classic, Annie. When Annie opened on Broadway in 1977, it won 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Book, and Score. The music is by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan. The audience will leave the theater humming “Tomorrow”, “It’s a Hard Knock Life”, and “Easy Street”.

   
     

Blithe Spirit

April 16-17 and 23-25, 2010

In this Noel Coward comedy, Charles is being haunted by his first wife Elvira following a séance conducted by medium Madame Arcati. Elvira’s antics are intended to disrupt Charles’s marriage to his second wife, Ruth. The 60-year old play opened in revival on Broadway in February 2009, with Angela Lansbury receiving a Tony for her portrayal of Madame Arcati.

Harry Witherspoon is due to inherit $6,000,000– but only if he follows his recently deceased uncle’s instructions to the letter... including taking his preserved uncle to Monte Carlo. Gun shots, slamming doors and mistaken identities keeps the audience guessing and laughing.
